Peace In The Time Of Storms

Storms in life come and go.  Meteorologist spend days and weeks trying to predict when a storm is coming, and there are times when they get it right, and there are times when they are wrong.  Just like meteorologist cannot always predict a storm we cannot always tell when a storm is about to come in our spiritual lives.  It would be so much better if we had an spiritual advanced warning system so when these storms were on their way we could be prepared for them.  There are ups and downs in life and there are times when we don't see the trials and tribulations coming, then suddenly and quickly they hit us.  Some storms are so devastating and they feel like they are going to wipe us completely out.  It is in these times that we need peace to make it through the storm or the trial we may be going through. There are times when we ask God to end the storm that we are going through, but instead maybe we should ask God for peace in the storm.

The Scripture reminds us that, the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep our hearts and minds through Jesus Christ.  I encourage you today when you are going through the storms of life or just going through, ask God for peace and He will give you the peace which passes all understand.  At the times when you should be losing your mind God will give you peace, and when God gives you peace it will surpass all understanding.  As you are going through you won't even know why you are so calm when things are falling apart. This is the peace of God that passes all understanding and He has promised to keep your heart and mind in peace.  When God gives you His peace and keeps your heart and mind you can make it through any storm.

I find that I can rest in the peace of God knowing, "It's My Year To Get My Thing From My God!"

Prayer

As the storms of life rage and the winds are blowing, Lord give me your peace.  I do not always understand what I go through, but if you give me peace I can make it through it all.  In Jesus Name Amen.
