Do The Right Thing
There are times in life when we will come to some crossroads, and have to make a decision of which way we should go. The decision to go the right way or the wrong way does not seem like a difficult decision, but there are times when the wrong way does not seem that wrong and it seems to be easier than the right way. When we look at what those around us are doing, making a choice to go one way or the other is not as easy as we would think. However, doing the right thing is always right no matter how the other way may look, or what anyone else is doing. It is not always easy to do the right thing, but it is always the choice we should make.
The Scripture reminds us that Paul encouraged Timothy, but as for you, O man of God, flee these things. Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness. I encourage you today to flee any way that is not the way that The Lord has for you. Pursue after righteousness that can only be found in doing what The Lord has called you to do. Pursue godliness in all things and with all people. Never allow what you are facing to cause you to lose your faith in God, and know that He is always with you. Pursue love with all people and show that same love to others that God has shown you. Be persistent in being the person that God has called you to be, and do all things in gentleness, as The Lord would have you to do. It is not always easy to do the right thing, but it is always right to do the right thing. I will pursue after those things that are pleasing to God, and always try to do the right thing.
Since I am pursuing after those things that brings God glory I have no doubt, “It’s My Year To Get My Thing From My God!”
Lord help me to continue to pursue after those things that bring your name the honor, glory, and praise. In Jesus Name Amen.
