Just For Me
All across Christendom we pause and recognize this time called Good Friday. On the surface it does not seem like it was a good Friday, because our Lord and Savior was being whipped and would be crucified. It didn’t seem like a good Friday because an innocent man was to be killed for being good and righteous. As we looked deeper into this Friday we will discover that while it did not look like a good Friday, it really was a Good Friday. It was for us that Jesus endured the suffering and the pain of that day, and it was for us that He went to the cross.
The Scripture reminds us that, when they had mocked him, they stripped him off the robe, and put his own clothes on him and led him away to crucify him. I encourage you today to remember what Jesus went through for you, and when you remember all of the pain and agony that he suffered for you, then celebrate this Good Friday because you know that your sins were paid for on that cross that day. Rejoice today knowing that God loved you so much that He sent His Son to take your place on that cross.
Celebrate today the fact that all of your sins were purchased on this day thousands of years ago on a cross in Calvary. I will never forget the price that Jesus paid for my sins, and while I celebrate this Good Friday, I am also in awe of just how much God loves me, because He sent His only Son to pay the price for me.
Since I am grateful for Jesus paying for my sins, and I can rejoice this day I have no doubt, “It’s My Year To Get My Thing From My God!”
Lord thank you for paying the ultimate price for my sins. Jesus I love you! In Jesus Name Amen.
