Do The Right Thing
If we were really honest with ourselves we would readily confess that there are times when it is easier to do the wrong thing than it is to do the right thing. There are even times when we have done the wrong things, because it was just easier to do that then it was to put in the effort to do what was right. It is a sacrifice to do the right thing at times, and because we are living in a time when everything is done quick and fast, doing the right thing takes time and effort. It is essential that we remind ourselves that no matter how much effort it may take, we should always do the right thing, so God can receive the glory out of our lives.
The Scripture reminds us to, turn away from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. I encourage you today to make it your mission to seek peace and go after it with all of your heart. Turn away from those things that are evil and be intentional about doing good. Be intentional about doing those things that are pleasing to The Lord. Do not allow circumstances and situations to cause you to do the things that will not bring God glory, but flee from them, and do what is right.
No matter how difficult the road may be, seek peace and do not rest until you have that peace that comes from God. It is not always easy to do the right thing, but I am always striving to do what is right and pleasing in the sight of my God, and in all that I go through I am always seeking His peace.
Since I constantly turn from evil and cling to that what is good I know for sure, “It’s My Year To Get My Thing From My God!”
Lord show me your goodness and your peace and give me the strength to pursue them, so I may be all that you called me to be. In Jesus Name Amen.
