Don’t Quit

Jeremiah is called the weeping prophet, because it seems that he was always crying out to God for the people. Jeremiah did not have an easy task as prophet, he did not get to be the one that was prophesizing prosperity all of the time and people were ecstatic to hear the prophecy God gave to Jeremiah. On the contrary Jeremiah was the prophet that was tasked with telling the people when God was upset with them. This task weighed on Jeremiah to the point where he wanted to quit and give up, but God would not let him quit or give up, but he encourage him to keep going.

The Scripture reminds us that Jeremiah said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay. I encourage you today not to become discouraged when your God given task is not easy. Don’t give up when it seems that every time you have to stand for God it is something that is going to be difficult. Let the Word of God be in your heart as a burning fire shut up in your bones.

Let the Word of God cause you to have a bad case of the just can’t help its. You may want to quit, but because of His Word in your heart, you can’t help it you just have to keep going. There are times when I want to throw in the towel, but then His Word is in my heart like a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I have no other choice but to keep moving forward with God on my side.

Since I will never give up on God I am sure, “It’s My Year To Get My Thing From My God!”

Lord your Word is in my heart like a burning fire, please do not ever allow the fire to go out. In Jesus Name Amen.
